Choosing the right car seat and stroller can be a long, drawn out process. With so many brands and different options on the market, it can be quite overwhelming to find that “perfect” one.
The Evenflo Vive Travel System Embrace is a trending option on the market right now, but does the travel system live up to all the expectations and hype surrounding it?
Product Name: Evenflo Vive Travel System with Embrace, Spearmint Spree
Cheapest Place to Buy: Amazon.com
We’ll look at some options that this system offers and see if it’s worth the buy.
2 Cup Holders
Ultra Thin Fold
Multiple Reclining Positions
Color – The color is by far one of the defining features of this travel system. The spearmint color is very calming and pretty neutral as well. The color stands out because it’s not too over-bearing and not too dull; it’s just the right blend. There are a few other colors to choose from as well.
Cup Holders – The Evenflo Vive Travel System comes with 2 cup holders in the stroller for easy access to beverages or other food items that can fit. This is a plus because many strollers only come with 1 cup holder. So you can fit both baby’s bottle and a bottle of your own – it doesn’t get much easier than that.
Cellphone Holder – Another convenient feature that you can never go wrong with. In this day and age where almost everyone has a cellphone, this feature is a big addition because everyone travels with their phone. My stroller that I bought didn’t have this feature so I can definitely see the benefit of having this.
Ultra Thin Fold – I cannot stress this enough….strollers can get quite heavy! And when traveling with a baby, this adds another level of stress. Holding a baby and trying to manoeuvre a stroller is not the easiest task in the world. Being able to fold the stroller very easily and having it fit in less space is a good thing, take it from me.
Multiple Reclining Positions – This comes in handy when baby wants to take a nap when on the go. The normal upright position is great for babies that can sit up well either on their own or with assistance. But for younger babies who can’t sit up very well, having them in a reclined position is best for their posture, as well as to prevent them from falling over.
I must say though, that I actually prefer the bassinet type stroller/car seat combos for younger babies as they can be as flat as possible while strolling around. This offers their back much more support.
Even with all these great features, the Evenflo Vive Travel System comes in under US$160 on Amazon.com, which is the cheapest place to buy it online.
The cost is so minimal compared to most other travel systems out there and you get pretty much similar features. You also have to remember that your baby will only be so small for so long. So no need to spend more than you need to as you’ll soon need to replace the items anyways.
As long as the travel system is safe and government approved, then you should be fine. And the Evenflo Vive Travel System does just that.
For under US$140, you’ll be getting both a car seat and a stroller, it doesn’t get much better than that!
There are a few travel systems that are around the same price for similar features, so this reduced price is not specific to just Evenflo (thought I should point that out). Many brands are now having travel systems as an option as it saves time and sometimes money in the long run. If you can get both required items in one buy, it’s easier for busy parents to just shop and be done with it.
As with most things, the more people spend, the better they think the item is. While this might be true sometimes, that’s not always the case, especially when it comes to buying baby items.
Companies that sell baby items are in the business to make money. Parents usually want only the best for their little ones. So what do these companies do? They try to sell more expensive items under the premise that they’re “better” because they’re more expensive.
But what parents need to understand is that buying items for your kids will be a lifelong process. So think about all that you’ll have to spend over the course of your child’s life, and you’ll quickly realize that getting lower ticket items can often go a very long way.
With that said, sometimes cheaper does mean that you sacrifice the quality of the item.
This is not the case in this situation.
The Evenflo Vive Travel System is built pretty sturdy and can withstand weights of up to 35 pounds for the car seat and 50 pounds for the stroller. That’s a really good weight support system if you ask me!
The average baby will most times outgrow the length requirement for their car seat before they outgrow the weight component.
So you might have to swtich car seats before your baby reaches the full weight capacity. This is the case for whichever infant car seat you buy, as they are meant for younger babies.
Is This a Good Buy?
Without hesitation, I do believe this Travel System is a great value for money, while still providing all the necessary features and safety requirements.
So YES! I think the Evenflo Vive Travel System is a good buy.
It can also be passed on from one baby to the next so take good care of it.
If you’re ready to purchase this wonderful travel system for your precious little one, then head over the Amazon.com and secure yours for under US$160.
